Keyboard Tester / Copyright and DMCA

Copyright and DMCA

If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, send a notice to the address below and we will look at it. This page says what to include and what happens next.

Where to send a notice

Write to support@keyboardtester.site with the subject line "Copyright notice", or use the contact form if you cannot email. A plain email is enough; it does not have to be on a form or signed in ink.

What to include

To match the notice requirements in section 512(c)(3) of the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, include:

  • identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed, or a representative list of works;
  • the exact address (URL) on keyboardtester.site of the material you want removed, enough for us to find it;
  • your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
  • a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorised to act for the owner;
  • your physical or electronic signature.

A notice that leaves most of this out is harder to act on, and we may have to ask you for the missing parts.

What happens next

We aim to review a complete notice within a few business days. If it is valid we remove or disable the material, tell you what we did, and tell the person who supplied it where we can identify them. If the material is plainly not hosted by us, we will say so and point at the host if we can tell.

Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, send a counter-notice to the same address with: identification of the removed material and where it appeared before removal; your name, address, telephone and email; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of a court for your address, or for any judicial district where this site may be found if your address is outside the United States; and your signature.

We may restore the material after 10 business days unless the original complainant tells us they have filed a court action.

No registered agent

We have not registered a designated agent with the US Copyright Office and we make no claim to the protection of the section 512 safe harbour. This page describes how we handle notices in good faith; it is not a statement of legal position and it is not legal advice.

Keyboard, mouse and controller names that appear in a result come from your browser or from the device itself. Those names belong to their owners. This site is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any hardware maker.
